Piano Self Adhesive Nameboard Felt

 Piano Self Adhesive Nameboard Felt

Self Adhesive Nameboard Felt will prevent the keys from making a thudding sound when the fallboard goes up.

Felt is installed right underneath the fallboard edge that sits over the keys.

The only purpose of the Piano Fallboard is to prevent dust from getting on the keys. We suggest that if you do have real Ivory keys you do want to keep the fallboard open because the sunlight will prevent the keys from yellowing.

Once you have removed the fallboard from the piano, before installing or replacing make sure that all the old adhesive and felt is completely removed. With the adhesive backing it’s very easy to replace. You want to start by separating little by little the paper that protects the adhesive from the felt on a corner and it’s easy to pull off. You want to start at the corner of the fallboard by placing the felt on the front edge of the fallboard and you go along the edge placing the felt and you might want to use your finger as a guide to stay on the edge so that it looks nice and even. With your other hand using your thumb push down on the felt to make sure it adheres and just continue until you get to the end. When you get to the end using scissors cut off the remaining felt and you want to cut flushed to the wood.

The Piano Self Adhesive Nameboard Felt is available in 4 different colors: Black  Brown  Maroon   Red
