School/Stretcher piano benches are designed to be extra-sturdy for school use.

They feature a large sheet music compartment and rugged “stretchers” between the legs that bolt together rather than glue together for added strength.

The bench is constructed of hardwood maple, and comes in square tapered legs, with a bevelled edge lid. The bottom of the bench is routed-in to the sides of the frame, instead of stapled, for additional support.

This style bench is available unfinished or in ebony, walnut or mahogany finishes.
